Print Project

Step 1

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 45" [114 cm] wide x 54" [137 cm] long, excluding fringe
GAUGE: 10½ sts = 4" [10 cm]; 7 rows = 4" [10 cm] in pattern stitch; check your gauge. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge. 

Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:
NOTE: Stitches are worked in horizontal bar below top 2 loops of stitch of previous row.
Ch-1 turning chain at beginning of row does not count as a stitch.
With L/8mm crochet hook Ch 121.
Row 1 (Right Side): Hdc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in each ch across – 120 hdc.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, working in horizontal bar of each st across, hdc in horizontal bar of each hdc across.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, working in back loops only, hdc into each st across.
Repeat Rows 2-3 until piece measures 54" [137 cm]
from beginning, and end with Row 3 as last row worked. Fasten off.

Fringe: Cut 3 strands of yarn, each 20" [51 cm] long for each Fringe. Hold 3 strands of yarn together and fold in half. With right side facing, use crochet hook to draw fold through edge of piece at Row 1, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop. Pull to tighten. Make 31 pieces of fringe evenly spaced along each side edge using 3 strands of yarn for each fringe.

Second Row of Knots
Knot 3 strands of first fringe with 3 strands of next fringe 1" [2.5 cm] below previous knot. Repeat to knot fringes together across row, leaving first and last 3 strands unknotted.

Third Row of Knots
Knot 3 loose strands of first fringe with 3 strands of same fringe that have been knotted together with next fringe. Repeat to knot fringes together acoss row.

Finishing: Trim fringe evenly. Weave in ends.
