rainy-day costume
Step 1 |
First, click here to download and print the template. Change the settings in your printer to tile the pages for the cloud when you print because the pattern is larger than one sheet of paper. Tape the sheets together and cut out your pattern. |
Step 2 |
Next, lay the pattern onto foam board and trace. |
Step 3 |
Heat your hot knife and lay your foam board on a protected surface (such as cardboard or a cutting mat). Slowly cut out the cloud shape. |
Step 4 |
Remove the backing on the foam board so the sticky side is up and press some batting clumps onto the sticky side of the board. Add batting until you are happy with your cloud. |
Step 5 |
Now, in a well-ventilated area, lightly add some spray adhesive over the batting. Sprinkle some glitter over the cloud. |
Step 6 |
Hot glue the wood dowel to the back, centre of the rain cloud, then set aside. |
Step 7 |
Trace as many raindrops as you would like to hang from your cloud onto the back side of Silver glitter cardstock. |
Step 8 |
Cut varying lengths of the clear transite and hot glue two raindrops back to back, on one end of each strand of transite. |
Step 9 |
Hot glue the other end of the transite to the back of the rain cloud. |
