quartz suede wrap bracelet
Step 1 |
First, cut a piece of Gold wire to about 10" [25.4 cm]. Grasp the wire about 1½" [3.81 cm] from one end with round nose pliers. |
Step 2 |
With your free hand, grasp the top of the wire and bring it down, wrap it around the barrel, then, horizontally, across the wire below your pliers to a 90° angle. |
Step 3 |
Now, reach around and grab the horizontal wire and wrap it around the vertical wire a few times. Trim any excess wire. |
Step 4 |
Add a dab of glue to the hole on one side of a white quartz nugget. Slide the straight side of the wire in the hole until the loop you made is flush against the nugget. |
Step 5 |
Make another loop on the other side. Grasp the wire about 1" above the nugget and repeat Steps 2-3. Trim the wire and add a dab of glue around the hole to secure the wire. Set aside to dry. |
Step 6 |
Cut two 24" [60.96 cm] lengths of suede lace. Set one aside. |
Step 7 |
Fold one piece in half and thread one end through a loop on the side of the nugget until the loop is tucked inside the fold. Tie an overhand knot in the suede against the loop. |
Step 8 |
Tie another overhand knot in both suede strands about 4" from the end. |
Step 9 |
Go down about 1" [2.54 cm] and tie another overhand knot. |
Step 10 |
Thread a Gold bead onto each end and tie a knot. Trim ends, if needed. |
Step 11 |
Repeat Step 7 on the other side of the nugget. |
Step 12 |
On this side, tie an overhand knot in the strands about 3" from the end, then thread a Gold bead onto each end and tie a knot. Trim ends, if needed. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
