This is a wonderful product. It goes on smoothly and gives a subtle or dramatic look to any project depending on your taste. I applied with a damp wash cloth on the edges of a mirror that I painted white. A little goes a long way. I have it both silver and gold.

Bought this for a mirror frame colour change to use to highlight a new pewter finish. It worked very well and was easy to apply and buff to a nice soft subtle look. Was perfect for the look I was looking for.

Interesting effect coating for crafts, value is A+
This is an interesting craft material, and it's true the finish it creates is not like paint. It takes a little practice to apply it, but once you get it going, it works well. You have to take your time & be patient. The package says you can use your finger to put it, but you really should use a brush. Buffing it does indeed create a glossy shine. However, it is fairly fragile, and should probably be sealed with something once you are finished.
Can confirm: it DOES work on plastic, but it should only be hard/firm plastics as the coating it forms will flake if your item is squishy. This CraftSmart brand gives you much, much more product for the value than other brands. It's a cool effect, and a great value too.
