pine cone gnome gift card holder
Step 1 |
Create a beard by wrapping a piece of yarn around three or four of your fingers about 15 times. Carefully pull it off your fingers and cut a smaller piece of yarn and tie it around the middle of the whole loop. Cut through the two loops to create a pom-pom. |
Step 2 |
Give the “beard” added texture by rubbing the yarn together with your two fingers pulling the stands apart. |
Step 3 |
Make a hat by folding a piece of felt into fourths and cut a rounded edge from corner to corner. Add hot glue to one of the straight edges and roll the opposite edge and glue in place to create a cone. |
Step 4 |
Start to build the gnome by adding a bit of hot glue to the middle of a pine cone and press the beard into the glue. |
Step 5 |
Glue a bead at the top middle of the beard with the hole arranged vertically for a nose. |
Step 6 |
Add glue to the back of the hat and place it on top of the pine cone. Add a little glue above the bead and press the brim of the hat. |
Step 7 |
Now, bend the top of the hat down to the brim and glue in place. |
Step 8 |
Give the beard a trim if needed. |
Step 9 |
Finally, add a hook for an instant ornament, tape to a gift card or add to the top of a present for a handmade embellishment. |
