Print Project

Step 1

First, cut four 10" [25.4 cm] lengths of stringing wire. Set three aside.

Step 2

Thread a crimp bead on one end of a piece of stringing wire, thread on a closed jump ring and thread wire back through the crimp bead. Allow about 1" [2.5 cm] of excess wire to extent below the crimp bead. Add a dab of glue then use your pliers to crimp the bead. Let dry.

Step 3

Add beads to wire.

Step 4

Repeat Step 2 to add a crimp bead and jump ring to the opposite end. Tuck excess wire into adjacent beads.

Step 5

Repeat Steps 2-4 for the other three wires. Add beads so the strands gradually get a little longer to create the layers when worn.

Step 6

Use the jump ring on one end of each strand to attach the Gold metal ring.
TIP: To open and close a jump ring, simply grasp the jump ring on both sides with chain nose pliers and twist the ring open, from side-to-side. Never pull the jump ring which can cause distortion.

Step 7

Repeat Step 6 on the other end.

Step 8

Cut two 24" [61 cm] pieces of leather cord.

Step 9

Fold one piece in half and attach to the Gold metal ring with a lark’s head knot.
TIP: To make a lark’s head knot, fold the cord in half. Place the metal connector over the fold. Grab the ends of the cord, bring them up and over the metal connector, then through the fold of the cord. Pull and tighten the knot.

Step 10

Repeat Step 9 on the other side with the second leather cord.

Step 11

Gather the leather cord on one end. Make sure they are even all the way up and dip the ends into e6000® glue. Place the ends into a Gold crimp closure and use your pliers to fold the sides over the leather ends. Let dry. Repeat for the other side.

Step 12

On one side, add a jump ring and on the other side, add a jump ring with a clasp.
