personalised pressed flower resin keychain

Preserve flowers from important dates or even flowers you just love with resin! Press your flowers and use silicone moulds to make a keychain so they are with you everywhere you go!

Print Project

Step 1

Mix equal parts of resin and hardener as directed in packaging.

Step 2

Pour a thin layer into your mould and place on a level surface to harden.

Step 3

Now, cut a vinyl name or message from your Cricut® machine.
TIP: Because you make your keychain from the top down, you will need to set your Cricut® machine to cut as a mirror image so it can be read correctly once your keychain is complete.

Step 4

Weed the negative vinyl around and within you design.

Step 5

Use transfer tape to transfer the name (or message) to the hardened resin in the mould, then repeat Steps 1-2.

Step 6

Add pressed flowers as desired.

Step 7

Repeat Steps 1-2.

Step 8

If needed, add one final layer of resin so you have a smooth surface at the top of your keychain (which will be the bottom once complete). Let harden completely.

Step 9

Carefully demould your keychain.

Step 10

Use a resin hand drill to make a hole through the resin near the top of your keychain.

Step 11

Open a large jump ring, thread through the drilled hole and add the split ring from the keychain component. Now, close the jump ring.
TIP: To open and close a jump ring, simply grasp the jump ring on both sides with chain nose pliers and twist the ring open, from side-to-side. Never pull the jump ring which can cause distortion.

Instructions
Step 1
