Print Project

Step 1

First, click here for the link to the design.

Step 2

Click ‘Text’ and design a name to add to the pumpkin bucket.

Step 3

Place the name over the pumpkin and size as needed. Change the colour to match the ghost.

Step 4

Click ‘Make It’ in the upper right corner of your screen.

Step 5

In your preview screen, check ‘Mirror’ for the mats with the ghost and the pumpkin in the left panel to reverse your images; then click ‘Continue’ in the bottom right corner of your screen.
TIP: For Siser® patterns, you will cut the material with the pattern-side facing up.

Step 6

Choose the material for your first layer and place the heat transfer vinyl (HTV), shiny-side down, onto your cutting mat. Load the mat into your Cricut® machine, then press the blinking Cricut® icon to start cutting.
TIP: When working with multiple layers, be sure to work from the bottom layer up and pay close attention to the left panel on your preview screen to know which layer is cutting, so you know which colour/material to load. If you are using multiple types of HTV within the layers (such as foil and/or flat), be sure to update the material type in Design Space™ so it knows the pressure to apply when cutting.

Step 7

Once your machine is done cutting each layer, use scissors to cut your design from the HTV rolls. Next, use your weeder tool to remove all the excess material around and inside your design. You’ll be left with just the reversed design on the clear plastic carrier sheets, which are slightly sticky.

Step 8

To iron, follow the instructions as noted on your HTV packaging.

Step 9

Place the carrier sheet with the first layer of your design, so it’s sticky-side down, onto your shirt. You should be able to see the layer through the carrier sheet just as it will appear once ironed.

Step 10

Use your heat press to apply the appropriate pressure for your material for the time as noted on your HTV packaging.

Step 11

If your material is the warm peel type, you may go ahead and peel off the carrier sheet. If your material is a cool peel type, let it cool completely before removing the carrier sheet.

Step 12

Repeat Steps 9-11 for each layer.
