paracord knot friendship bracelet
Step 1 |
Measure and cut two 72" [182.88 cm] length and 24" [60.96 cm] length from one colour of crafting cord. |
Step 2 |
Tie a double overhand knot about 6" [15.24 cm] from one end of your 24" [60.96 cm] cord. This will be your base for centre cords. |
Step 3 |
Tape the cord to your working space, above the knot. |
Step 4 |
Align the two 72" [182.88 cm] cords evenly and then find the centre by folding it in half; tie it onto the centre cord. |
Step 5 |
Bring the A cords up and place cross the centre cords horizontally in front and over the B cords, making a loop on the right side of the centre cords. |
Step 6 |
Now, take the ends of the B cords across the centre cords and through the loop on the right side. You now have a shape resembling the infinity sign. |
Step 7 |
Grasp the ends of both sides and tighten the knot over the centre cords. The knot will work up to the top. |
Step 8 |
Repeat Steps 5-7 until you reach the desired length of your bracelet. |
Step 9 |
Tie a double overhand knot just below your last paracord knot. Add a dab of glue at the top of the excess strands just as they come out of the knot. Let dry. |
Step 10 |
Make a second overhand double knot about ½" [1.27 cm] from the previous knot. To close, push the last double knot through the loop at the other end of your bracelet. |
