| Step 1 |
First, click here to download and print the template; then cut out the kite and cloud templates. |
| Step 2 |
Trace the kite pattern onto different shades of construction paper. You will need five kites. Cut out, then fold each kite in half, vertically. |

Trace the cloud pattern onto white cardstock and cut out. |
| Step 4 |
ADULT: Punch a hole in the top, middle of each cloud. |
| Step 5 |
Attach the kites, back to back, with a glue stick. |
| Step 6 |
Cut two pieces of yarn about about 6" long [15.2 cm]. Glue one end of one piece to the back, top of the kite and the other to the back, bottom of the kite. |
| Step 7 |
Cut four chenille pipe cleaners to about 1½" [3.8 cm] long and twist them onto the bottom piece of yarn to make a tail for your kite. |
| Step 8 |
Tie the yarn from the top of the kite to the middle of the wood dowel. Trim off excess yarn. |
| Step 9 |
Next, tie a piece of yarn to each of the clouds. Decide how far down you want them to hang, then tie the yarn onto the wood dowel. Trim off excess yarn. |
| Step 10 |
Finally, cut a piece of yarn to tie to either end of the wood dowel to make a hanger for your mobile. |
