painted heart shadow box
Step 1 |
Carefully remove glass pane from the frame. |
Step 2 |
Cut a simple heart template out of a sheet of scrap paper as a guide. Centre the heart template on the glass pane and start tracing the outer edges of the heart with your large brush and craft paint. |
Step 3 |
Continue to fill in the first layer from the heart outline out toward the edges of the glass pane. Let dry. |
Step 4 |
Apply a second coat of paint. If needed, apply another coat until you end up with an opaque “shadow” box, allowing the layers to completely dry in between. |
Step 5 |
Let the painted glass cure for as long as possible. Then, place desired photograph or artwork from your kids and reassemble the frame. |
