paint poured letter plaque
Step 1 |
Paint the wood plaque white. It may need a couple of coats. Let dry. |
Step 2 |
Now, use sandpaper to soften the look around the edges and other areas. Set aside. |
Step 3 |
Prepare for your paint pour. First, protect your working surface with a plastic drop cloth; then, add a few pushpins to the back of your wood letter so it is elevated from your working surface so the paint can drip off the sides of the letter. |
Step 4 |
Now, layer different paints over each other in a disposable cup. Lightly stir two (or three) times. |
Step 5 |
Pour the layered paint over your letter. Lift and tilt as needed, or desired, to cover your letter with paint. Set aside on a protected, level place to dry overnight. |
Step 6 |
Place painted letter on the white plaque and glue in place. |
Step 7 |
Tie a bow with a piece of ribbon and hot glue it to the top of your initial plaque. |
Step 8 |
Finally, make a loop with the same ribbon for hanging and glue it to the back of the plaque. |
