natural chic leather earrings

First, click here for the design in Cricut® Design Space™.

Click 'Make It' in the upper right of your screen. Click ‘Continue' in the lower right of the next screen.

Select ‘Tooling Leather: 4 - 5 oz. [1.6 mm]; then place your material, face down, onto your cutting mat. Place masking tape around the perimeter of your leather on the mat for an extra secure hold.

Load the mat into your Cricut® machine, change the housing in clamp B to the deep blade; then follow the prompts in Design Space®.

Remove the leather and pieces from the mat.

Carefully open the loop at the bottom of a fishhook earring. Slide it through the top hole cut in one of the leather shapes. Close the loop.
TIP: If needed, use a pushpin to open the hole.

Now, slide about 1¼” [3.2 cm] of turquoise heishi stones onto a headpin.

Make a simple loop at the top of your stones, then wrap excess wire around the vertical wire below the loop.
TIP: To form a simple wire loop, first bend the wire to a 90° angle just above the last bead. Trim wire to 3/8" - 1/2" [0.3 cm - 1.3 cm] from the bend. Grasp the end of the eye pin wire between the jaws of a pair of round nose pliers. Rotate the pliers towards you, keeping a firm grip on the wire until a small loop is formed.

Use a jump ring to attach to the bottom hole cut along the top of the leather shape.

Repeat Steps 6-9 for a second earring.
