Step 1 |
Fold a large piece of felt into a cone shape and trim the excess. Use hot glue to hold it in place. Pull the hat over the tree. |
Step 2 |
Cut three stands of yarn and braid them to make a cord. Use hot glue to attach the braid around the bottom edge of your gnome’s hat. |
Step 3 |
Click here to download the template; then, trace the snowflake and mitten patterns onto antique white and smoke felt. Cut out the shapes. |
Step 4 |
Glue the snowflake to the front of the felt hat. |
Step 5 |
Glue the gray mittens on top of the antique white mittens. Cut a piece of yarn to connect the two sets of mittens. Cut a small piece of yarn and glue it across the top of the mittens. Once finished hang the mittens on the tree. |
Step 6 |
Make a small pom-pom out of the antique white yarn. Glue the pom-pom to the tree, just below the base of the felt hat, to resemble your gnome’s nose. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
