metal leaf lariat necklace
Step 1 |
First, cut 50"-52" [127 - 132.08 cm] of bead cord. Fold in half. |
Step 2 |
Place the fold of the cord under a metal loop bead. Bring the ends of the cord up and over the outside of the loop, then thread through the fold. Pull the ends so the fold nestles tight against the metal loop bead to complete your lark’s head knot. Allow the ends of the cord to hang a little uneven. |
Step 3 |
Slide on a Gold rondel bead, Silver metal round bead and another Gold rondel bead. Slide them down to sit on top of the lark’s head knot. |
Step 4 |
Add a fair amount of glue to each end of the cord and push each one inside the open barrel of a cording closure. Let dry. |
Step 5 |
Remove the jump rings from two metal leaf bead charms then attach them to the loop of each end of the cording closures with new 6mm jump rings. TIP: To open and close a jump ring, simply grasp the jump ring on both sides with chain nose pliers and twist the ring open, from side-to-side. Never pull the jump ring which can cause distortion.
