Step 1 |
First, protect your working surface with a disposable cover as this paint pour technique can be very messy. |
Step 2 |
Add pushpins to the back of your canvas, one in each corner, to lift it off your working surface. |
Step 3 |
Cover your canvas with white pre-mixed paint. Use a craft stick to spread it around the canvas. |
Step 4 |
Pour pre-mixed paints in vertical stripes across the first half of your canvas, working from left to right, in rainbow order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. Repeat for the second half. |
Step 5 |
Add a thin line of white along the outside edge of each stripe, if desired. |
Step 6 |
Pick up your canvas and move it from side to side and tilt it in all different directions to move the paint until you are happy with the look. Let dry for about 8-10 hours. |
Step 7 |
Set your letters across middle of your artwork and let the paint completely dry. |
Step 8 |
Remove the pushpins from the back of your canvas. |
