Used in preparation of wood flowers
We were dying wood flowers with watered down acrylic paint and pre-soaked them in a dilute aqueous solution of this glycerin to prevent them from becoming brittle after drying. This seems to have worked well. Note: if used for this purpose be sure to only prepare as much diluted glycerin as needed for the day - it does not last keep well outside of the bottle.

Great for Christmas Tree
I used this to preserve my real Christmas tree as I like to put one up in Nov. I added 1/2 cup to the first watering of the tree. I then added approximately 1/4 cup glycerin to water every other. Last year my tree lasted 6-8 weeks without needle loss. This year I was not as diligent with the glycerin and watering. It has been up approx. 5 weeks and has taken less water and just a little dry. The tree still looks great though!
