Back

Note: Back is worked entirely in the Lace Pattern, keep stitches in pattern when possible, as you decrease to shape the body and armhole keep 3 stitches at the edge in stockinette to allow for working your decreases. If you do not have enough stitches to complete a “yo, sk2p, yo” work those stitches as knits instead. A good technique for the beginner is to use markers to keep track of where you are starting and stopping the lace pattern. When you work your first decrease row place markers 6 stitches in from each edge and work the lace between the markers, then move the markers 6 stitches closer to the center whenever the decreases from your shaping reach the markers.

With smaller needles cast on 99 (105, 117, 123, 135, 141) sts.

Change to larger needles.

At beginning of next 2 rows, bind off 3 sts – 57 (63, 69, 77, 83) sts.
