Print Project

Step 1

SIZE: Approx 11” x 65” [28 x 165 cm], excluding fringe.
GAUGE: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4” [10 cm] in stocking st.  22 sts and 26 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Cable Pat. Save time and check your gauge.
SPECIAL STITCHES:
- C4B (Cable 4 Back): Slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and leave at back of work. K2, then K2 from cable needle.
- C4F (Cable 4 Front): Slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and leave at front of work. K2, then K2 from cable needle.

Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:
Cast on 55 sts.
Knit 6 rows (garter st), noting first row is WS.
Next Row: K5. *Kfb. K10. Rep from * to last 6 sts. Kfb. K5.  60 sts.
Proceed as Follows:
Row 1: (RS). K2. *P2. K4. P2. K4. C4B. C4F. K4. Rep from * once more. P2. K4. P2. K2.
Row 2 and Alt Rows: K4. P4.K2. *P16. K2. P4. K2. Rep from * once more. K2.
Row 3: K2. *P2. K4. P2. K2. C4B. K4. C4F. K2.  Rep from * once more. P2. K4. P2. K2.
Row 5: K2. *(P2. C4B) twice. K8. C4F. Rep from * once more. P2. C4B. P2. K2.
Row 6: As 2nd row.
These 4 rows form cable pat. Cont in pat until work from beg measures approx 64” [162.5 cm], ending on a 5th row.
Next Row: K5. *K2tog. K10. Rep from * to last 7 sts. K2tog. K5. 55 sts.
Knit 6 rows (garter st.)
Cast off knitwise.
Fringe: Cut lengths of yarn 10" [25.5 cm] long. Taking 6 strands tog, knot into fringe evenly across each end of scarf. Trim fringe evenly.
