Ok price for low quality
They don't have a lot of pigment so of course they're on the lower end.
I also found the ivory black was very gritty and won't mix with other colors unless you add a ton of it.
You're better off paying a bit extra for higher quality paints unless these are just for your kids or something.

This is NOT Primary Red
Most of the colours we have purchased are fine, but the Primary Red comes out more like a Cherry Red which is really disappointing. Will have to buy another brand for that colour. Overall, for the price it is good paint, although they tend to be a bit too transparent, requiring several coats.

Don’t blame this paint
It’s like a carpenter blaming the hammer and nails. I will not use anything else but the Basics. The pigments are pure and bright. The consistency is predictable. I have only been using this medium for 55 to 60 years. I play the gel like a well used musical instrument. I am saying don’t be so quick to blame the paints, just paint every day with something you get to know.

Love This Paint
I love this brand's paint. I've bought several different sets and bottles and they have all been smooth, easy to mix, and work really well with various mediums.

After so long, it gets gloopy
This paint is so much better than the Michael's brand. For example, just take the same color from both brands, and you'll see this one covers the canvas so much better.
When the paint is how it should be, it's incredible. But after a little while, it turns from smooth and creamy, to a gloopy mess. Then, it's unusable. Sometimes paint will last a few months, or longer. Sometimes right after I buy it, it gets nasty.
I guess I'll have to invest in the expensive stuff.

Great Paint for the Price
These paints have a creamy consistancy and dry with a satin finish, which is half-way between gloss and matte finishes. If you desire a more glossy finish, simply add gloss medium to your paints. Adding a medium to your paints, also increases you work time. Applying a water-based gloss acrylic varnish over your fully dried piece, will protect your work and give it a gloss finish that will make your colors "pop". I have been using Liquitex Basics for years and never had any in-tube separation of paints. For the person who said they were having issues with this paint sticking in the holes of their canvas, that sounds like more of a canvas issue. Cheap canvases usually aren't primed very well. It is always best to add another layer or two of gesso on the canvas (letting each coat dry fully), before you begin painting.

Great quality
The paint is great for the price and did not separate while in the tube. The paint has stayed the same since I bought it over a year ago. Great for beginners!

Student quality! What you pay for is what you get!
I love the consistency of these paints which are buttery and easy to spread.
As with all basic quality Acrylic they change colour as they dry - lights get lighter and darks get darker. The paint pulls apart when dry if you're painting on canvas so lots of little holes appear in the canvas dips, but painting on board its fine. Its difficult to stop it sucking into the canvas and flattening out as it dries even with gels and medium. This is particularly bad on canvas panels which I have therefore stopped using with my students.
