Step 1

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

  • Finished Circumference About 30 in. (76 cm)
  • Finished Height About 15 in. (38 cm)

GAUGE: 8 sts + 12 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS); be sure to check your gauge.

NOTES

  • The Cowl is worked in one piece in the round on a circular needle.
  • The stitch pattern is so easy that after working a few rounds, you may not need to look at the instructions again!


COWL:

Cast on 60 sts. Place marker for beg of rnd. Join by working the first st on left hand needle with the working yarn from the right hand needle and being careful not to twist sts.


Rnd 1: *K6, (k1, p1) twice; rep from * around.

Rnd 2: *K6, (p1, k1) twice; rep from * around.

Rep Rnds 1 and 2 until piece measures about 15 in. (38 cm) from beginning.

Bind off.


FINISHING:

Weave in ends.
