The classic pom-pom hat never goes out of style. Knit this version using Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick® yarn.

Print Project

Step 1

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
- Finished Circumference: About 18" [45.5 cm]
- Finished Height: About 6" [15 cm]
GAUGE:
- 16 sts = about 4" [10 cm] over Row 1 of pattern; be sure to check your gauge.
- NOTE: Hat is worked in one piece, then ends are joined with a few stitches to make a ring.

Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:
HAT:
Cast on 24 stitches.
Row 1: Slip the first stitch (Slip as if to knit or as if to purl – whichever look you prefer!), then knit to end of row.
Repeat Row 1 until hat measures about 20" [51 cm] from beginning.
FINISHING:
Lap one end of Cowl about 2" [5 cm] over the other end to make a ring. Sew a few stitches through both layers in two places to secure the lapped end.
Weave in yarn ends.
