Rated 1 out of 5 by from Homespun yarn. It has the market for prayer shawls. Why? Yes, it’s soft but that’s about it. It’s expensive for what you’re getting, terrible for washing, terrible for pilling. Overall it’s not an attractive end product except for the first week. I’m exhausted talking with the church ladies about allowing other soft yarns, and I’m not talking about cheap acrylic either.

I have been using it since 2014 to make prayer shawls first for my church to give out to shut-in members or friends and then to breast cancer patients at the Lahey clinic in Danvers Massachusetts where they have distributed over600 shawls with a note of encouragement. These shawls feel like a hug when you wear them. It is my way to give back to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
