Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handmade Wedding Gifts Are the Best I use this yarn exclusively when knitting afghans for wedding gifts. To make sure the afghan is warm I double up on the strands. I use the KISS theory to knit the afghan - no fancy designs - garter stitch the entire afghan. The yarn is easy care (machine wash and dry), wears very well, and the choices of colors will satisfy the most demanding tastes. The afghans are very much appreciated especially since it was made by a Vietnam Veteran whose mother taught him how to knit at a young age. A handmade gift like this can't be beat.

I've made a few afghans with it, for a friend in a hot climate, where she doesn't need anything super heavy. Homespun was a fantastic choice because it's a nice fluffy option to be cozy but not too warm. With the Pro bundle of 18 skeins, it's perfect to make a few afghans when you like a single color.

Going slow in the beginning really helps. As you work more with it, it is much easier! The final effect is really pretty. Adds texture to your project

The only thing that would make you have a small problem is that the ends of the yarn do come apart, so I would put a tiny bit of moisture on the ends and it is working out for me just fine .

It’s a little tricky to work with at first but it’s my go-to yarn for unforgettable afghans - from crib size on up! I crochet in open work patterns using any hook from size I-K and my labors if love come together quickly. The colors are great and the texture is amazing! It’s also very easy care - machine wash & machine dry, no blocking needed!
