life/lemonade halloween costume

We all know the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Or in this case, the lemon? This year how about a trick, a treat, or a play on words?! Even if you and the little ones don't decide to go to a party until the last minute, this costume is quick, easy, and unique!

Print Project

Step 1

First, click here for the template.

Step 2

Cut out the lemon shape and trace onto a piece of yellow felt. 

Step 3

Flip the adhesive felt over so the backer paper is facing up. Using a pencil, either free hand (or print out a block letter font) and trace the words backwards onto the backer paper. 

Step 4

Cut out the words from the black and white felt. 

Step 5
Peel the backing off the black felt and stick to the white shirt.
Step 6

Repeat Steps 3-4 for the black shirt with the white letters.  

Step 7

Use glue to attach the lemons across the front of the white shirt. Let dry. 
TIP: Place a piece of paper (or cardboard) inside the shirt so that the glue doesn't go all the way through the shirt onto the back.
