These trendy Leather Leaf Amazonite Earrings, made from faux leather, are a cinch to make without the fussy measuring or cutting. So, turn on your Cricut® machine and click the provided link, found in the instructions below, to make a pair for yourself!

Print Project

Step 1

First, click here for the design in Cricut® Design Space™.

Step 2

Click 'Make It' in the upper right of your screen. Update the project copies to ‘2’ in the upper left corner of the next screen; then click ‘Continue' in the lower right.

Step 3

Select 'Faux Leather (Paper Thin)' for your material; then place your material, faux leather-side down, onto your cutting mat. Load it into your Cricut® machine and push the blinking Cricut® icon button. When it’s done cutting, unload the cutting mat and peel away the material.

Step 4

Repeat Step 3 with your second and third colour of faux leather.

Step 5

Punch a small hole in the top of each faux leather leaf with leather hole punch pliers and add a jump ring.
TIP: To open and close a jump ring, just grasp the jump ring on both sides with chain nose pliers; then twist the ring open from side to side. Never pull the jump ring’s sides apart to open it, which can distort the ring’s shape.

Step 6

Carefully pull one side of an ear wire out of the top and slide on: two of the smallest faceted champagne beads, one jump ring at the top of a faux leaf, two small faceted beads, another leather leaf, two small faceted beads, a leather leaf and two more small faceted beads. Push the wire back into the tube at the top of the ear wire. Repeat for the second earring.

Step 7

To make the dangling bead link, slide one small faceted bead, three Amazonite beads and one more small faceted bead onto a headpin. Now:
- Bend the wire to a 90° angle just above the last bead.
- Trim wire to 3/8" - ½" [0.95 cm - 1.27 cm] from the bend.
- Grasp the end of the eye pin wire between the jaws of a pair of round nose pliers.
- Rotate the pliers toward you, keeping a firm grip on the wire until a small loop is formed.
- Before closing the loop all of the way, slide it through the loop at the bottom of the tube holding the wire together at the top of the earring.
TIP: The link should now dangle inside your earring.

Step 8

Finally, open the lop at the bottom of a fishhook earring, slide it into the loop at the very top of the ear wire and close the loop. Repeat on the second earring.

Instructions
Step 1
