layered amazonite necklace
Step 1 |
Cut about 16" [40.6 cm] of transite cord. |
Step 2 |
Tie a 6mm jump ring to one end in a secure double (or surgeon’s) knot. Add a dab of glue to the knot. |
Step 3 |
String beads onto the cord for about 12" [30.5 cm]. Tuck excess cord into the first several beads until hidden. Tie 6mm jump ring to the end as you did in Step 2. Add a dab of glue to the knot, tuck in excess cord. Set aside. |
Step 4 |
Cut about 22" [55.9 cm] of transite cord and repeat Steps 2-3 but string about 16" [40.6 cm] of beads. Be sure to add a charm to the middle as you string your beads. Set aside. |
Step 5 |
Cut two 10" pieces [25.4 cm] of transite cord. |
Step 6 |
Repeat Steps 2-3 but this time, tie both ends, after adding beads, to one larger jump ring so it is in the middle of your strung bead cord. Set aside. |
Step 7 |
Attach a charm to the middle ring. |
Step 8 |
Cut a 14" [35.6 cm] section from the large chain and a 17" [43.2 cm] section from the thin chain. Add a 6mm jump ring to both ends of each chain section. |
Step 9 |
Cut a 15" [38.1 cm] section from the white beaded chain. Add a 6mm jump ring to both ends of each chain section. |
Step 10 |
Remove the jump ring with the clasp from the leftover larger chain. Add the jump ring from one end of each chain and beaded strand to the jump ring, then close. |
Step 11 |
Open another jump ring, add the jump ring from the other end of each chain and beaded strand to the jump ring, then close. |
