Rated 5 out of 5 by from No fail sock yarn. I tried making several pairs of socks out of wool yarn without any nylon in it, and it was incredibly difficult to get the size right! When I tried this yarn, I was amazed with how much easier it made knitting a sock. I was still using the same knitting pattern as before but now the socks actually fit because the nylon in this yarn gives the stretch. So, if you’re having trouble making socks, I definitely recommend switching to this yarn. HELPFUL TIP: You’ll need approximately one ball per sock. I’ve only made socks for a women’s size 8 out of these, and I had a little bit of yarn left over. You may need three balls for a pair of socks if you want a larger size of if you want the socks to have a high cuff.
