Comfortable Kroy
I love Kroy because it is durable, comes in beautiful colors and is readily available at my local craft store. It washes nicely without losing shape. I made 31 pair of socks before Christmas on my 1925 sock machine.

No fail sock yarn.
I tried making several pairs of socks out of wool yarn without any nylon in it, and it was incredibly difficult to get the size right! When I tried this yarn, I was amazed with how much easier it made knitting a sock. I was still using the same knitting pattern as before but now the socks actually fit because the nylon in this yarn gives the stretch. So, if you’re having trouble making socks, I definitely recommend switching to this yarn.
HELPFUL TIP: You’ll need approximately one ball per sock. I’ve only made socks for a women’s size 8 out of these, and I had a little bit of yarn left over. You may need three balls for a pair of socks if you want a larger size of if you want the socks to have a high cuff.

Kroy Sock Yarn
I need a lot of socks to begin with and I really like Troy sock yarn to work with on the needles and through your hands and fingers. But I do not like is the striping rarely matches up and it’s very frustrating if you want to very close to identical striped socks Croix yarn can’t always be trusted to do that for you and that’s the big disappointment with this brand.
