You're new to the skills necessary to complete this project, or maybe you've tried them just once or twice before.

This project is intended for kids 4+. Mandala comes from Sanskrit which means "circle". It is often decorated with circles, squares or other shapes, but it always has a concentric (circular) nature. Let your kids have fun making their very own creative Mandala Spinner from different shapes.

Print Project

Step 1

First, lay out all of your shapes onto your 6" [15.2 cm] circle to plan out patterns and placement.
TIP: If you do not want to use a cake circle, you can cut a circle from recycled cardboard.

Step 2

Now glue your shapes into place. Let glue completely dry.

Step 3

Turn it over and glue one of the largest gems in the middle of the back side. Let dry.

Step 4

Now, turn your mandala over and spin!
