Print Project

Step 1

Cut some irregular circles from tan felt to make spots. Hot glue the spots onto the sleeves of the t-shirt.

Step 2

Next, make a felt flower collar to attach to the shirt. To do this, trace the opening shape at the top of your t-shirt onto white felt. Now, draw another circle around the traced one so the distance between the two are about 1½" [3.8 cm] wide. Cut out the inner circle and then along the outer circle. Set aside.

Step 3

To make a felt rose, cut a circle from felt that is about 3" [7.6 cm] in diameter (the larger the circle, the bigger the flower). Now cut a spiral into the circle ending in the middle. Roll the spiraled felt to create a rose shape, then hot glue the end to secure. Hot glue the flower to the felt collar. Make additional roses in a variety of colours and sizes.

Step 4

To make a felt chrysanthemum, cut a piece of felt that is 4" long x 1" [10 cm x 2.5 cm]. Fold it in half lengthwise, then snip along the folded side every 1/8" [3 mm]. Stop at the same distance from the edge. Roll the felt and hot glue to secure. Hot glue it onto the collar.

Step 5

Finally, cut some green leaf shapes to finish out the floral collar. Hot glue the collar in place.
TIP: If desired, you can also stitch or pin the collar to the shirt.
