Mugs are super easy to make using Cricut® Infusible Ink™ and a MugPress™. You will get permanent and professional results with this affordable and vibrant technology.

Print Project

Step 1

First, click here for the design link in Cricut® Design Space™.

Step 2

Design your initial and place it inside the background. Slice the initial out of the background.
TIP: Use the initial design as a guide.

Step 3

Click ‘Make It’ in the upper right corner of your screen.

Step 4

In your preview screen, check ‘Mirror’ in the left panel for each mat, to reverse your image.
TIP: This step isn’t necessary if you are cutting a simple shape where direction doesn’t matter. However, if you are cutting a design with words or a shape where direction matters, be sure to “Mirror” your image.

Step 5

Now, click ‘Continue’ in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Step 6

Place the Infusible Ink™ material for your first layer, ink-side up, onto your cutting mat. Load the mat into your Cricut® machine, then press the blinking Cricut® icon to start cutting.

Step 7

Weed excess material from around the words and grass.
TIP: Weeding is very easy with Infusible Ink™ material! You can bend the material and the pieces will lift. Weeding can pretty much be done with your hands.

Step 8

Peel your initial (and shadow, if your design includes one) from the backer paper and place within your background design. The sticky paper will hold it in place.

Step 9

Press the “on” icon button to preheat your MugPress™.
TIP: If this is the first time you are using your MugPress™, be sure to use the small white USB cord included to set up your machine.

Step 10

Wrap your design around your mug with the ink side facing your mug.

Step 11

Fold a piece of butcher paper three times and wrap around your mug to protect the inner walls of your MugPress™.

Step 12

Slide your mug inside your MugPress™. Push the lever down to start the heating process.
TIP: Watch the lights on the top of your machine light up as it progresses.

Step 13

Once you hear the beep, lift the lever and remove your mug. Place on an EasyPress™ mat to completely cool.

Step 14

Remove the Infusible Ink™ transfer sheet to reveal your design!
