This product is essential.
Thankfully Michaels has a very clear description of this product. So when it arrived I was prepared that it would be small, but never expected it to work so good! It absorbs the hammer blows nicely and you can actually work with all size of blanks on this block, as long as you know what you are doing and try and keep your force more focused on the center.

Great for travel size
Small block, but it does the job and I travel a lot so it’s easy to take with me. I did take off a star because despite rubbing the block with a cloth to get the oil off like the directions state, the rubber feet (that you put on yourself) came off within 10mins of putting them on. I’ll see if some glue can help keep them on.

Stop complaining it's only impression art people!!
,You all knew the size before U ordered it , the two little dents will not affect anything, and the proper phrase is " it only had one FOOT !! This product works great. Just like it is supposed too. How can it not always .......it's literally a block of steel

Works Great
I didn't think I'd use this, as I thought a black of wood would work fine. But I think my stamping blank pushed into the wood instead of the stamp pushing into the metal blank. But with this I don't have that problem. Also, my copper washers don't seem to slide around on this at all.

Very Well Made, Tiny Steel Block
Works great for metal stamping. I do put something with a little 'give' underneath it, like a foam sponge or wood block, so it has some "give" it seems to stamp better that way. Very small 2" x 2" size, if you are doing whole sentences/bracelets, etc, you may need the 4" x 4" or larger size block.

I am in love with this block
As a new stamper I was reluctant to spend money on this block. But is worth it!!! Makes a big difference in stampings.

Use something around the house.
I used the unfinished concrete floor in my basement. Plus you can use your cutting board on your floor.

Um.....well....
Knowing how important a smooth surface is for stamping....I was disappointed to find 2 divets in the plate (on the good side). I had to use as is because of a gift timeline, otherwise I would have returned it. :(

WORKS great.
A bit small and color is tarnished already after only two uses. BUt is very sturdy, and as long as used on flat sturdy surface, stamping comes out well.

Very small
The block was very small (great for travel projects but small for everyday worl), and It's oiled surface made it hard to keep objects still while stamping.

Very, very small!
This thing is microscopic! I don't know if the size will help me or not. About the size of a small post-it note. Not sure if I will keep it.

I wanted to like it....
I think this product will work well, however, I will be returning it because when I took it out of the packaging, it was very rusty. Was not impressed with the quality. For a new item, there shouldn't be rust all over it.

I was skeptical
I had a block for metal stamping, and wasn't pleased with it. A big heavy rubber block that came with a kit. I picked up the steel block hoping for better results, but honestly expected to be disappointed. The results were great. Much better impression, less taps with the hammer, and nearly no warping of the blank.

Worth Getting
While I have moved up to larger metal blocks these are so important in getting when doing stamping. You get a much cleaner impression and do not get the bounce back you would on other surfaces. This one is small, but they provide the measurements in listing info (which one should read before buying). It works good for a single item at a time.

Item EXTREMELY small
Disappointed in the size of this item. Had no idea it was as small as it is. But I should have expected that for the price.

Works well for stamping small items
It's heavy and not flimsy the little rubber legs are great at softening the strike.
