You're somewhat experienced with the skills necessary to complete this project, but you haven't mastered all the elements, yet.

heart balloon pop-up card

This project draws, scores and cuts cardstock to create a pop-up hot air balloon card for that someone special.

Print Project

Step 1

Click here for the design in Design Space®.
TIP: To alter the project, select 'Customise', then use the edit panel to make changes.

Step 2

Insert scoring tool and pen when prompted.

Step 3

Follow Design Space® prompts to cut images from materials.

Step 4

Now, fold along the score lines and glue the dark pink piece.

Step 5

Slide the basket heart pieces in place. Make sure the draw lines are facing out.

Step 6

Slide the teal pieces in place. Make sure the draw lines are facing out.

Step 7

Slide the two mint pieces into place.

Step 8

Glue the white hearts onto the small dark pink hearts.

Step 9

Align the hearts with the bottom of the flat upper pieces and glue into place. Let dry.

Step 10

Slide the teal stabilizer pieces on either side.

Step 11

Fold along the score lines of the light pink basket piece and place around the assembled heart balloon.

Step 12

Fold along the score line of the white cloud piece. Thread the tabs through the opening and glue the tabs in place.

Step 13

Glue the mint pieces in place on the main card, being careful around the balloon cutout. Glue the white heart in place on the front of the card. Let dry.

Step 14

Glue the assembled balloon and base portion to the mint pieces, aligning the fold so that the card will open flat. Let dry.

Step 15

Fold along the score lines of the envelope and glue along the tabs as shown.
TIP: Make sure all of the pieces are still all the way in their correct slots and gently close and open the card to make sure that it works.

Slide the two mint pieces into place.
