handprint campfire father's day card
This project is intended for kids ages 4+.
Step 1 |
Trace your hand onto red, yellow and orange construction paper; then cut out the shapes. |
Step 2 |
Next, cut out rectangles to make logs for the campfire from brown construction paper. Round the ends so they resemble logs, then use a brown marker to draw on a wood grain pattern. |
Step 3 |
Fold a piece of construction paper in half to make your card. |
Step 4 |
Lay the three hands on the card front to make the fire, then arrange the logs to make a campfire. Once you are happy with the arrangement, glue the pieces to your card. |
Step 5 |
Next, cut a stick from brown construction paper and a marshmallow from white construction paper. |
Step 6 |
Glue the stick over your campfire, then glue the marshmallow onto the stick. |
Step 7 |
Write the greeting "I love you s'more than anything Dad!" onto your card. |
Step 8 |
Finally, spread some glitter glue onto the flames and hands to add a little sparkle to your card. Let dry. |
