Add some shine to your jewellery collection with this Hammered Moon Necklace. It is super simple to make from chain and metal moon-shaped beads.

Print Project

Step 1

Cut two 8" pieces of chain.

Step 2

Remove a moon-shaped bead from the strand.

Step 3

Open a new jump ring, slide through one of the holes on the moon bead, slide onto the link one of the 8" chain pieces and close the jump ring.
TIP: To open and close a jump ring, simply grasp the jump ring on both sides with chain nose pliers and twist the ring open, from side-to-side. Never pull the jump ring which can cause distortion.

Step 4

Repeat Step 3 with another jump ring, the other hole in the bead and the remaining chain piece.

Step 5

Open a third jump ring. Slide the other end of one chain onto the jump ring as well as a lobster clasp and close the jump ring.

Step 6
Open a fourth jump ring and attach it to the end of the chain on the other side.
