I have "given up" on buying larger size acrylics, unless I have a specific project that needs more of that color, because the lids always break and then the paint dries up. These little containers have nice sturdy lids, you just have to make sure you wipe them off well when you are done so the lid snaps shut tight.

It has the clean up properties of water base but has a longer open time (as in oils) to allow more manipulation and blending. The consistency is smooth and flows well with the brush.
