You're somewhat experienced with the skills necessary to complete this project, but you haven't mastered all the elements, yet.

gold feather leather pouch

This rustic looking leather and suede is easy to make and can complement any journal or sketch book. See instructions to make your own and personalise it by hand with a feather, or any other desired icon.

Print Project

Step 1

Fold a piece of leather into thirds.

Step 2

Glue the sides making a pouch. Hold in place until the glue sets.

Step 3

Add a hole to the leather so you can slide a piece of suede lace through close to the top and add another slightly below. Use image as a guide.

Step 4

Determine how long you would like your lace tie to be and cut to size. Slide the lace through the holes. Wrap it around the pouch and tie.

Step 5

Slide on some wood beads to finish the ends and tie a knot to hold them in place.

Step 6

Personalise the pouch and journal by hand drawing a feather, or any other desired icon, with a paint pen. Let dry.
