Great for kids
My daughter used these and she is in second grade. She loves them. She used them on top of charcoal pencils.

Better than chalk
I sometimes need to sketch on my canvas before I paint and this works beautifully. Gives a nice precise line and erases easily

Great for sketching on black and colored papers.
These mark pretty smoothly and blend really well using your fingers or a tissue. The attached eraser works well unless the line is particularly strong. Can't really go wrong here.
