TRICKY PRODUCT
The color looks different after the wax is heated and dries. It also burns very slowly—I had to use a lighter to help melt the max enough to drip onto the paper.

Color discrepancy
The color is nothing like the picture. The picture is much lighter, like an apple red but the wax is a true burgundy color. If you're the type to pay attention to the name rather than the photo then you will probably be pleases, but if you're relying on the photo I'd be forewarned that it is not that color. It's a beautiful true burgundy color and melts well so I gave it 2 stars for that, but if you want a bright red, like depicted in the photo, then buy another wax.

Gartner Studios Sealing Wax
Once I got the hang of what angle to hold my melting wax stick, it was a breeze to use.

beautiful
at first I was apprehensive because I could see some black swirls in the gold, but wow does it make it pop. it looks so amazing, and burns so much easier than my other wax. I wish I had gotten more of it when it was on sale!

Amazing
This wax is wonderful. It keeps a rich color, doesn't stick to the stamp, and the finished product looks amazing. You have to wait just a bit to let it cool before stamping, but once you figure out the timing, it is flawless.

Super fun
love this tool for personalizing letters! A little tricky to learn the melting method as it does melt slow, and has no directions. Although can't bet the price!

Meh
The product is okay. The wax doesnt dry in a smooth finish. Instead it leaves streaks throughout. Wick goes out often. Would rather splurge a little for a better finished product

It was all that they had
I have used wax sealers before and this on was the most difficult to use, mostly because it was short - a longer candle/wax stick is needed. The box said that "10-15" envelopes or uses could come out of one candle. For my project it took two candles to handle 10 envelopes, and I had to use pliers at the end to keep from getting burned by the candle.

Sticks won't stay lit
A great idea and the perfect color. Biggest problem was I wasted most of the sticks trying to keep them lit in order to melt.

Too shiny and transparent
This wax has a very shiny finish. To me, it dosent have the nice semi-gloss look of other waxes. it also doesnt cover well, you can you end up with thin spots where you can see the paper through it. I wouldnt buy it again.

Our wedding stamp
I liked this wax for our seals for our wedding invitations. the only thing that I didn't like is that when it got to the bottom, we couldn't finish the stick because we would end up burning our hands. I recommend a holder for the bottom so we wouldn't waste wax.

Does not work
I’ve tried two separate candles and neither of the wicks continue to burn. I then tried melting the wax by shaving it off and burning in a warming spoon. It’s been a waste of money.

Best Sealing Wax I've Found
I've been using sealing wax for over 40 years. I've found this one to be one of, if not THE best. It doesn't stick to the stamp, creates a nice sharp design and melts evenly. The only con would be that the wick has a tendency to go out. I counter this by having a tea candle burning, wooden matches and an ash tray at the ready. Lighting the matches from the candle, I simply melt the wax with the matches, tossing them in the tray after blowing them out as they burn down. Works like a charm, and you can control the speed of the melt easily.

Color is very good
The color is very good. I wish Michaels carried the type without the wick. The wick type is difficult to use well and can carry black soot from the burning of the wick into your seal. I cut pieces off and melt them in an old stainless steel measuring spoon.

It works
I use this for thank you letters to my customers. I think it adds something special. I usually order from a woman on Etsy bit she closed her shop. These are ok but cheaply made. They burn to slow, the wick is terrible and the actual wax isn’t thick enough for a pretty seal. But it works enough that it looks decent and not too cheap. But I won’t buy it again. I’ll try ordering online from a different store.

Easier than you think
I used these for my wedding invitations. It was easier than I thought it would be. I lit the candle and placed the waxed as it burned. Took about an minute an invitation once I got going. One box did fifty seals. People were impressed with the personal touch. In short, I would recommend it.

Pretty Easy to use
I wasn't able to mix two colors, but that is the nature of the wax.
It burned pretty well and I had no problems with stamping it. I would recommend keeping the metal stamp on cold when not in use.
