Although priced slightly higher than some of the other brands, this paint is well worth it because you need less to get the effect you want.

The paint is just the right consistency and works well with a wide variety of art and crafts projects. When used to cover a large surface area it only requires one or two coats with very little streaking (depending on how porous the painting surface is).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these paints I use lots of these acrylic paints, of various name brands, to paint military and fantasy miniatures and models. Since they come in multiple shades of many earth tones, they're great for armor and military vehicles. The formulation lets you get them as thin or thick as you need for proper coverage, and they dry -dead flat- which is important to me for the proper look of my subjects. This color in particular "HoneyComb" is a good match for a widely used color on WWII armor from a few different nations. Very good value considering the expense of 'name brand' hobby paints and the inconsistency of all their different formulations. Takes some getting used to but I have been brush painting models for a very long time so feel very comfortable with it. All paints used in the attached photos (Panzer IV H) are these type of craft acrylics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A red bird house for a cardinal. The Folk Art Acrylic Paint is bright and smooth. I bought a bird house and paint for an older woman to do a little craft project. She loves birds too.. She even commented when applying the paint to the bird house that the paint seemed like a good quality. The Folk Art Paint was easy to apply, and she loved painting the bird house bright red. The paint is very vivid, and a beautiful color of red. 'There is a red cardinal that keeps flying around her backyard, and she is hoping the red bird house that she painted will become his home. I would most definitely recommend the Folk Art Acrylic Paint for any craft project. It washes right off your hands too.

It’s thinner viscosity is more forgiving although doesn’t offer the coverage thinker paints do. But for its small bottle and price tag it’s great for kid parties, traveling and just good ole fun at home.
