FolkArt® Crackle Medium, 8 oz. is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best crackle medium!! I've tried other crackle products but by far, this is the best! One coat, let dry, paint done. Great results!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the greatest The crackle effect is minimal, unless you use 2 coats. I will stick with Ranger Clear Rock Candy crackle paint. It literally looks like leather!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This medium works! I exchanged my CraftSmart crackle medium (which was totally useless) for this one and it works! I used it with acrylic paint and sure enough, crackles appeared! Simple instructions to follow and you don't have to use chalky paint like the other medium. Now that I know it works, I'm going to town decorating my crafts! (I used my 50% coupon so I did well!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magical medium with professional results! The results will vary depending on how thick you apply each of your layers. Thick layers of paint will give giant cracks, just as thin layers create very small ones across the entire surface. Amazing to watch as the "magic" begins to unfold immediately right before your eyes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect cracked appearance Used a layer of gray, crackled medium, then heavy quick coat of beige and it turned out perfect for my giant dinosaur egg! Wish I could include a picture!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Folk art crackle medium. It really doesn't work very well. Still Experimenting with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not digging it I have followed directions to a tee each time I’ve tried Folkart’s brand for this medium, and each time, it has barely produced any results. I usually use a heat gun to get crazing and crackles, but I am needing something with more control over the effects. I’ve tried it with a variety of paint consistencies as well as testing on a couple surfaces, and even looked up various artist blogs for their tips on this product, so I don’t know if I got a bum bottle? I’ll go with a different brand from now on.
