Protect your work surface with a disposable cover, such as wax (or parchment) paper.
TIP: Work on a metal baking sheet (lined with wax (or parchment) paper).

Preheat oven to 275°F [130°C].

Start with clean hands, unwrap, and knead clay until soft and smooth, or using a clay roller.

Condition and roll approximately a 2½" [6.35 cm] ball of terra cotta clay. Flatten and run this through the pasta machine on the #1 setting. Fold in half to double the thickness.
TIP: For best results, condition all clay by running it through the clay-dedicated pasta machine several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.

Lay out your clay. Spray your patterned embossed roller with mold release as instructed on the packaging; then firmly roll it across all your clay.
TIP: Work is strips but stay consistent in your direction for best results.

Now, cut out a circle approximately 3½" [8.89 cm] to 4" [10.16 cm] in diameter where desired from your embossed clay. Smooth the edges.

Carefully pick-up your embossed clay circle and press it evenly into your glass bowl. Press it into the dish from the middle out so you eliminate any air bubbles.

Bake the dish (while still in the glass bowl) for 30 minutes per ¼" [0.6 cm] thickness according to package directions. Allow to cool completely.
TIP: For best results:
- Bake clay on an oven-proof surface such as metal or aluminum foil. Oven safe glass or ceramic surfaces are also acceptable for baking; however please note that the baking times may take longer as the glass or ceramic surfaces take longer to heat up.
- Use an oven thermometer.
- Do not use a microwave oven.
- Do not exceed the above temperature or recommended baking time.

Carefully remove the dish from the glass bowl.
TIP: If desired, paint the inside or embellish the outside details with paint. Let dry.
