This unique card combines alcohol ink and Yupo paper to create a one-of-a kind design that is sure to please the recipient.

Print Project

Step 1
On a piece of the YUPO® paper, use the alcohol inks and blending solution to create a background.
TIP: There are two techniques you can do to create your alcohol ink background:
  • Add the blending solution to the paper first, then add some ink and swirl it around by tilting the paper.
  • Or move the ink using a hair dryer (or blowing through a straw).
Step 2

Now, if desired, add ink or blending solution to an applicator tool and touch it to the ink on your paper to further alter the look. When you are happy with your background, let it dry completely.

Step 3

Trim your alcohol ink background and double mat it with two complementary shades of cardstock. Set aside.

Step 4

Stamp your sentiment using embossing ink onto kraft cardstock. Sprinkle it with embossing powder and heat it with the heat tool until it is raised and glossy. Trim it down and attach it to the front, middle of the background using foam dots to raise it slightly.

Step 5

Thread some Gold ribbon under the sentiment and around the matted background and tie a small bow at the front.

Step 6

Adhere the background piece to the card front.
