Don’t buy these
I usually make 1 cake recipe and at the time it was finished they still had a long way to go. I waited another 10 minutes and it looked like the top was starting to burn and the middle was still no where near done. I should have just not bought these and done it my usual way and now I have no birthday cake for my brother...I really hate these.

Good product!

Really Works
I definitely recommend the strips! I've been baking over 30 years and I've used these strips since they first came out many years ago and have seen improvements but they're not perfect yet. Yes, they get singed in the oven. Yes the insulation gets old and starts to fall apart, HOWEVER when used properly they really level out the cakes. Be to to thoroughly wet them with cold water leaving them as wet as possible. I've attached a pic of a sample tres leche wedding cake. The 10" pan had the strips and came perfectly even (I did add a metal flower nail upside down to distribute the heat as I do with any pan bigger than 8" but even with the flower nail cakes would still crown without the strips.) 6" did NOT have the strips and it crowned.
