Step 1 |
Knead equal parts of each fondant separately until the fondant is smooth and pliable. |
Step 2 |
Roll each individual fondant into a ball then form each into a log. |
Step 3 |
To create the marble effect, twist the logs together then fold them in half. Keep repeating this process just until they start to blend and form a marbled pattern. |
Step 4 |
Form the fondant into a ball and begin to roll out about 1/8" [0.3175 cm] thick and cut out leaves using your leaf cookie stamper. |
Step 5 |
Using red edible paint and a skinny [food-safe] paintbrush, brush the veining details onto the leaves. Carefully place the leaves in the flower shaping cups to give them some movement. Allow the leaves to dry for a couple of hours. |
Step 6 |
Mix the royal icing until smooth. Place into a piping bag with piping tip. |
Step 7 |
Pipe a name onto each leaf. Allow the royal icing to dry completely. |
Step 8 |
Using a skinny [food-safe] paintbrush, paint a layer of Gold edible paint over the names to give them a metallic finish. |
Step 9 |
Place the leaf topper on top of a frosted cupcake. |
