easter ribbon wreath
Step 1 |
Pre-cut chenille pipe cleaners in half for ease while working with the mesh and ribbons. |
Step 2 |
Working with one mesh roll at a time, attach the ribbon end to the wire form using chenille pipe cleaners. Twist a chenille pipe cleaner around the end of the mesh and attach to the outside of the wire form. |
Step 3 |
At about 16" [40.6 cm] down, add another chenille pipe cleaner around the next section of mesh. Now twist this section to the wire form where the sections are divided, making a poof. Continue to bunch, poof and attach the mesh to the wire form working around the outside of the wreath and towards the middle until the roll is gone. |
Step 4 |
Continue repeating Steps 2-3 with another role of mesh. |
Step 5 |
Now, mix ribbons in and around the wreath. Cut two different patterned ribbons that are about 18" [45.7 cm] long and layer them, fold in half to find the middle and then twist chenille pipe cleaner to secure. Tuck this ribbon layer into the mesh wreath and twist it to the wreath base. Repeat as desired for fullness and texture. |
Step 6 |
To determine if you like the overall look of the wreath, take a photo and look to see where you need to add more ribbons or adjust the ribbons you have already added. |
