earth day air-dry clay necklace
Step 1 |
Scoop out a bit of clay and knead it in your hands until it's warmed up. |
Step 2 |
Lay the clay on your work surface and roll it until it's flat (about 1/8" thick). |
Step 3 |
Press a round lid (or cookie cutter) into the clay and remove the excess clay around your circle. Repeat this for additional medallions. |
Step 4 |
Use a straw to cut a hole in the clay at the top of the circle. Let dry according to package directions. |
Step 5 |
Paint your Earth Day designs onto the clay medallion. Let dry. |
Step 6 |
Cut a piece of cord and thread it through the hole in the top of the medallion. Add a few pony beads, then tie a secure knot in the ends of the cord to complete your necklace. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
