duo donut bracelet
Step 1 |
Preheat the oven to 300 ºF (149 ºC) and place the mould inside. Remove the heated mould from the oven and allow it to cool for 2 minutes. Carefully touch the mould with your hand. If you can touch the mould comfortably with your hand and feel that it is still quite warm, it is ready to fill. |
Step 2 |
Pour the Peacock Pearl liquid clay filling one half of the mould. Immediately fill the other half of the donut shape with Gold liquid clay. Tap the filled mould on a flat smooth surface to release air bubbles. |
Step 3 |
Place the tip of the needle tool into the mould pressing all the way down through the liquid and to the bottom of the shape. Carefully drag the needle tool around in circles without lifting it from the shape. After you have traced around the shape a few times, lift the needle out and wipe it off with paper towel. |
Step 4 |
Bake the mould following the baking instructions for liquid clay. |
Step 5 |
When the mould is completely cool gently flex it to remove the piece. |
Step 6 |
Cut faux leather cord into two 8" [20.3cm] lengths. Double them and put one loop through each side of the donut hole and then loop the tails through. Secure the loops up close to the donut shape. |
Step 7 |
Lay one of the pairs of tails flat and string a 6mm jump ring onto them. Trim the ends neatly and hot glue the ends back onto the cord securing the jump ring in place. Repeat for the other set of tails. |
Step 8 |
Use pliers to make a series of large and small jump rings as an adjustable tail chain on one side. |
Step 9 |
Add the little charm to the last jump ring. It will act as a weight that will help stabilize the cord when wearing. |
Step 10 |
Add the lobster clasp to the end of the tail on the other side. |
