Step 1 |
Paint nine clothespins to represent candles in blues and white. Make different shades of blue by adding white to blue paint. Let dry. |
Step 2 |
Now paint additional details, such as stripes and dots, with contrasting blues and white. Let dry. |

ADULT: Cut a piece of corrugated cardboard about 13" x 2½" [33 cm x 6.4 cm]. |
Step 4 |
Measure 2" [5 cm] from each end and bend it back so that the strip can stand on it's own. |
Step 5 |
Paint the cardboard with the glitter paint and let dry. Add additional coats if needed. Let dry. |
Step 6 |
Set up the base, then clip the candles onto the strip. |
Step 7 |
Cut out flames from yellow construction paper and glue them to the top of the clothespins. |
